1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: Wet-felted Cat Cave Beds on: June 07, 2016 06:42:48 AM
Those are awesome creations! I'm inspired to go look into felting some fun stuff for my kitty. She needs some extra love lately.

2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: The Beekeeper's Quilt Knitalong on: May 13, 2016 11:27:36 AM
Anyone still here?  Huh

I am also working on this project and wondered if anyone has completed... I figure I'll have something done in a few years, but that's only if I step up my puff game.

Saw a great idea to make it into a pillow cover for those that can't slog all the time and need instant results.

How puffy do you make yours? I stuff mine big personally.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Baby Kimono Sweater on: September 25, 2015 07:24:10 AM
My favorite color in a tiny size!!!  Lovely work...so much texture...what yarn did you use?  I looks like it would be well suited for a baby item!

All the wonderful texture came from the cool pattern, cause the yarn was just plain baby stuff in the brightest red I could find at the yarn store.

It's called Baby Kimono Sweater by Melissa Leapman from the book Baby Knits From Around the World. I think she has the pattern on ralvery.

This was my first sweater!

Cutest Jackalope I've ever seen!
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Discussion Thread for Nerd Battles on: May 29, 2014 07:21:10 AM
I am also looking forward to the summer nerd games! I had a fun time last time I was able to get in on the battles.  Since moving my supplies are all still stuffed in various boxes around the house. The games will be a good way to get my butt in gear to clean, organize and get crafting.
7  CANADA / Ontario / Re: Kingston Craftsters on: May 23, 2014 08:04:27 AM

You may have moved out of Kingston by now, but to answer your question (which you may have already discovered on your own) there is an art store on Princess street, Wallacks, lots of paint and drawing supplies.
Minotaur on Princess also supplies some knitting and beading supplies plus has awesome games and toys as well. They use to have a craft group meeting on Thursday but not sure if that is still going.
Out of the downtown on Gardiners is a KnitTrader store that has oodles of yarns and books and stuff to drool over. Before the name change it was WoolTime. Haven't been in since the name change.
That's all I can think of but welcome to the city.

What nice packages and pretty 'thank you' gifts.

My 'thank you' gift just arrived, but a letter full of stamps arrived first. I unfortunately don't have pictures of the stamps but I do have some of the gift. It's awesomely made.

Kitty was no match for the Dalek

Here is a closer shot of the candy. I already ate some of the little packets of gummy bears.

Thanks again Ruby!

I'm lucky that both my partners are awesome and sent me some really cool gifts.  Grin
