1  Tyrion Lannister embroidered portrait hoop in Needlework: Completed Projects by Bexster on: May 01, 2015 06:06:03 AM
Hi everyone   Smiley

I'm a huge Game of thrones fan and when I got into stitching portraits a while ago I had to stitch my favourite GOT guy, although his brother is a very close second!  I spent a long time looking for some fabric suitable to mount him onto and came across this Reds and Gold which I thought was perfect.  I hope you like him, thanks for looking  Smiley

2  Re: Be AWESOME (Redux) GALLERY! (Sendout March 23) in The Swap Gallery by Bexster on: March 28, 2015 09:55:14 AM
Such an awesome gallery  Grin  I just adore the alien dissection! sooo cool! and the Halloween countdown book, gorgeous!

I thought I'd come by and share what I was making for my partner who unfortunately couldn't continue with the swap.  She mentioned on her questionnaire she was hoping for a partner who could knit or crochet and I'm currently learning both so I picked a pattern for a shawl which had some new to me knit stitches involved.  I ended up finishing the shawl early and turning it into a blanket for my daughter to use with her dolls

Imagine it a lot longer and with tassles  Cheesy

3  Alice in Wonderland Hooplas in Needlework: Completed Projects by Bexster on: February 27, 2015 01:16:20 AM
Hi everyone

I have been away from Crafster for a while but missed it here and decided to jump back in  Smiley  I have been mostly working on lots of embroidery for the past year and thought I'd share some of the things I have been working on.  I really enjoyed working on these hoops and spent ages looking for the perfect material to mount the embroidery onto.  As soon as I spotted the Rose fabric I knew I'd found a winner and I'm super happy with the result.  The cards I made for someone who requested it to be framed as is, without the Roses.

Thanks for looking  Smiley

awwww cookie looks so cute in his hat! Id love to be able to crochet, everytime I have tried it I just seem to get my hands all tangled up

I have been lusting over crafting mama ds game for months but I think its a US only game, it doesnt show up on any of my online game shop sites so I dont think its coming to the uk *huffs*

Things have been pretty quiet around here, but we do have a fun filled week coming up at the end of the month, were having a staycation, doing lots of fun trips and its my sons 3rd birthday so Hayley can help me make the requested Spiderman cake  Cheesy

Hayley came along on a trip to Meadowhall shopping centre with me and my sister where we visited the Disney store

Also our trip into town for the seaside, first we went into the art gallery where they have a rather bizzare new exhibit

just the one snap of the seaside in the city event as we left soon after due to the fighting break outs

and yesterday Hayley helped me to make chutney with a whole lot of apples picked from our tree and apricots too

We visited the Luminarium yesterday, which was just stunning! here's a little about it

Architects of Air is an internationally renowned inflatable walk in art installation, manufactured from translucent pvc, the Luminarium, Amococo. The structure transforms natural light into a kaleidoscope of liquid light and colour spilling across labyrinthine pathways, cavernous domes and curved walls. The initial reaction is often one of wonder and delight at the unexpected beauty created ,often described as walking through a stained glass window

Here is the outside

And inside
