I used WolfDreamer's Michaelangelo for the head and arms. The blanket part is C2C stitches. I would have loved to put more detail but since it will likely go to a toddler, I was afraid to.It is 18in. square

I love this afghan.   Your stitches are beautiful.  What stitch pattern did you use?  I love the texture it creates.
The stitch is called "Corner to corner". It's very easy once you get the hang of it. I just searched online until I found an explanation I could understand. Like I said, at first it looks odd but then once you get it, it goes rapidly.
