If you only used 1 bag for the side, you can fold the bag down so it's flat while you're sewing the bottom on. It's much easier to sew, though, if you put all 4 of the sides on the bottom, and then sew the sides together. Heres a pic of how to fold it down though. Mine looks like crap because it's falling apart and I need to make a new one.

SO... insomnia took over last night and in my zombie state I started to experiment.


so i covered the whole thing with packing tape while holding it around a soda can so that it would naturally curve. right now i've got it closing with a piece of tape, not the most permenant closure, but it works for now, and it makes it look like one solid cuff. i love it. thank you deadly_ rose for the inspiriation. sorry to steal your idea, but i couldn't resist.

im having trouble makin the stars pop into their 3d form! Can anyone give me some pointers?

first make sure the strip of paper is long enough. if the star shape is too thin it won't "pop" the right way. using your thumb and pointer finger hold the shape by 2 sides that are next to each other. then using your fingernail push in on the side accross from where your holding it. ok pls don't laugh at my quick diagram.

I Finally got around to taking pictures of my bottlecap creations. I hope to sell them at some local craft fairs so feedback would be greatly appreciated.

it was $15 for a quart.(which was way too expensive for me but i splurged.) i've done about 50 bottle caps and i've barely put a dent in it. i suspect it will do hundreds(maybe even a thousand ) of them! oh and i bought it at home depot.
