22  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / The Ogham God on: July 30, 2009 03:29:18 PM
Hi there!  Cool

This is a God.
I have not yet decided a name and history for this God.
But it sure is a God.

I made this mask/headpiece for a contest with the theme "The Ogham". Initially the Ogham alphabet consists of twenty characters. The characters were named after trees or plants and were specifically designed for carvings in stone and wood.
The ogham signs are carved all over those horns.
So for now it is an Ogham God.

Me and a friend are now planning to make more masks and such with the same theme.
Build up stories for them all, how they are connected to each other.
Maybe we get to show them at an exhibition.

So stay tuned Wink

Oh and its made of: horns, sticks, beads, seashells, leather, sculpey clay, feathers, plaster etc.
I think its a little hard to see in that upper left picture, but theres dreamcather-like thingies tied on the horns.
And I kinda always say this but it looks better in real life, it's easier to see what the heck is going on.

30  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Clothes for the runway show! on: March 19, 2009 05:51:14 PM
Hello!

Im new here on craftster. And it seems like a great community! ^^
So I figured I would show you my biggest project yet.
A couple of months ago I finished an education named "Textiles, fashion, graphic art & design" and our class' last task was to organize and sew clothes for a runway show. So we did! xD
It was soooo fun (yet very stressful) and we got the perfect place to do it in the town I live (Gvle in Sweden). It is an old really beautiful building.

Edit: It actually has some kind of meaning behind it too, but Im not good with words and especially not in english..
But my collection was about war and faces and how to hide from the ghosts of the past. The masks represent prosthetics. Well ehm I wont go any deeper than that with this tounge and mind. Tongue

Here are the photos, you can right-click them and choose show picture (or something like that) to see them larger.
My friends are modelling the clothes for me.
