1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Show me your Christmas tree! on: December 10, 2009 03:33:08 PM
So this is my last year at home with my parents. I am getting married next month and moving to Texas. So my parents decided it was important to have a tree to make it 'special. I didn't get too great of pictures, but this is it in two different shots. One with the main lights on and the other just the tree illuminated.

My mother has an obsession with snowmen. So the tree is COVERED with blue and white snowmen, blue bulbs and silver snowflakes. <The snowflakes were my idea because I got them from Target in packs of four for a dollar. Deal? I think so!!>

Not fancy, but eh, who is going to see it anyways?! Haha

When I first saw the thumbnail I thought of two things: Marbles and Bouncy Balls. I love that this is for your tree. It surely takes away from the normal colors for Christmas trees.
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: NSFW - Tea Towel With Attitude on: November 09, 2009 09:12:53 PM
Lol Awesome!

Ahahahahaha - love this!!! I say something similar often lol - is this from a movie or something?

It's from Happy Gilmore. G-ma asked for a glass of warm milk at the nursing home lol

Close, but not quite. It quote from the movie is actually "You can trouble me for a warm glass of shut the hell up. You're in my world now grandma. . . "

But as soon as I saw this, I immediately thought of that movie!
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Yip yip yip yip uh huh uh huh (Yip Yip aliens) on: November 01, 2009 09:20:15 PM
I love this! I used to walk around the halls of high school speaking this alien talk. The just made my night, mostly because almost everyone I spoke to of these two characters thought I was mad, inventing random things. Fabulous work, btw
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: skull + steampunk brain on: October 12, 2009 07:04:42 AM
I absolutely love this! I love the Mutter Museum! I love the 'easter egg hunt' for the watch face. It is very interesting for a marketing campaign.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Crohect Hook Wallet on: October 03, 2009 08:04:48 AM
I love it, I love the fabric and I love your picture! I too have not mastered the zipper foot, of which I still dont have but try with the regular one that is attached to my little beastie. I think I like it better with the elastic closure rather than the zipper anyways. Good job!
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Tutorial: How to make fabric covered buttons on: September 11, 2009 08:38:16 PM
I absolutely love those! I went to a small Japanese store around Pittsburgh a few years ago, and the woman was making some buttons, only she had a machine. But after looking into those and seeing that they are expensive! I just put that out of my mind. ANYWAYS, this just brightened my night. I am going to have to run out and make some buttons now. They all look great btw.

10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: zippered snack bag made from ... a snack bag on: July 22, 2009 07:00:40 AM
this is brilliant. i was walking around work, aka Target, and i saw something exactly like this. well not exactly, but pretty dang close. they want like 3 or 4 dollars for theirs though. just think, if you like to snack and are crafty, the materials are right on hand and free, er sorta.

my point. BEAUTIFUL!
