1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Mushroom Mania! on: January 23, 2007 05:28:23 PM
Here is a scintillating (lol!) collection of mushrooms I have crocheted recently.

Fuzzy Turquoise Mushroom Friend- I love this little guy!

And in case you didn't see it in the first craft challenge, an Evil Goomba!

2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Bane of Super Mario's livelihood: Evil Goomba amigurumi on: November 27, 2006 04:58:00 PM
For all you non-Nintendo freaks, Goomba is the first enemy that Mario encounters in the original Super Mario game for NES. They are mushroom shaped, constantly grumpy-looking and will kill Mario with one touch! Here's more info for those intrigued: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goomba

Fear not though, my Goomba amigurumi may look intimidating, but he's actually really soft and squishy inside.  Cheesy His stem and feet are filled with polybeads so he is freestanding. Goomba is about 6" tall and 12" around at the widest point.

And here is Goomba looking grumpy next to his rival, the lifegiving 1-UP mushroom:

Here's a picture for comparison:

Thanks for looking! I'd love to know what you think.

Hey everyone! I finally got around to posting these here. I present my little amigurumi devils, Nero and Desi! They are brother and sister and love wreaking havoc while looking deceptively cute.  Wink

On a side note, these are my own original patterns, and I would really appreciate it if no one directly copied these. Thanks!!

Hey everyone, these are some amigurumis I've recently crocheted. Some of you may be unsurprised to find that I was inspired by my boyfriend who is a major video game dork.  Cheesy

5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Building up Inventory on: October 24, 2006 09:06:46 AM
Hey Etsyers, please help a poor Etsy newbie out.  Wink

I'm looking to open up an amigurumi shop on Etsy, and I've been slowly... slowly building up inventory. Since I'm super impatient, all I want to do is start listing. From reading the forum, I've heard it's a good idea to list a new item each day to build traffic. How many items do all of you think is a good idea to build up before someone opens their shop?

I'm concerned about having a week of listing each day, then having nothing for maybe two weeks, etc. Advice would be much appreciated!!  Cheesy
6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Revamped Shoes! on: June 03, 2005 09:34:08 AM
I don't have a before picture, but the shoes were plain black with silver grommets across the buckle.

Add some paint + my dad thinking I'm insane and you get...

The camera altered the colour of the shoes. I wish they were that purply!

Yes, it's June and I'm wearing Halloween socks.  Tongue

8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / *I'm new* First post- Elliott Smith shirt on: December 03, 2004 02:47:08 PM
Hi, I'm Kim. I figured I'd finally join the forums after browsing all the awesome projects.  Smiley This is the second shirt I've made, using a photo of Elliott Smiths' Figure 8 cd cover. The graphic design of it just caught my eye and I've been in love with it since.
