1  Re: Craft with a Fat Quarter Swap Gallery (SO 4/18/11) in The Swap Gallery by DreamInStitches on: May 16, 2011 05:12:16 PM
After a ridiculously (and overly) long vacation, I was happy to return to an international package from my incredibly talented partner, jemimah!  Grin Not only did she do an absolutely fabulous job sewing up these goodies, but her fabric/color choices were 'spot' Wink on! So, here we go!

I just love, love, looove those potholders! This was definitely my favorite swap, thanks jemimah!!

2  Leather wrap bracelets in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by DreamInStitches on: April 14, 2011 07:01:44 AM
I have lusted over this design for far too long and finally decided to make a couple of them! The green one is made with jade beads, the black and white is made with shell beads. I used leather cords and waxed linen to tie it all together!

Thanks for looking!

"All I want in life is to travel"

Front: "You're the most beautiful girl I've dated ever!" "That back boob is your trade mark"
Back: "I used to get compliments from my hubby, he'd write me the hottest & sweetest letters, look at me with THE look...it's all gone now. (Together 10 yrs, 2 kids, 60lbs) ...I can see his point, still SAD though"

Front: "i'm studying to become a psychotherapist, but i want to write a novel on my dysfunctional life more than anything..."
Back: "My friends and I have a running joke that my life has the potential to be a great romantic comedy if I could find a male lead."

"I don't know how to use makeup"

"being in love scares me sometimes"

My sister bought me a Pandora bracelet. For every stupid bead she's given me to signify our "unforgettable moments," I can't remember what any of them were for."

Received a perfect package from my swapper, I was lucky enough to be randomly partnered with my good friend so we had a fun time with this one!

And the handmade box they came in! I've received other paper crafts from her, I swear she can make anything out of paper!

Thank you Mellermann!  Grin

8  Simple and classy guest room w/pics!! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by DreamInStitches on: June 25, 2010 05:55:17 PM
We moved into our house almost a year ago (yaay!!) and the smallest bedroom has been completely neglected since the moment we moved in! It was painted a purplish gray, and was hard to look at for prolonged periods of time. This summer we're having a few out of town guests pop in here and there, so my hubby and I (Let's admit it, it was mostly me  Roll Eyes) turned it into a guest room, without repainting. So I worked with the gray, and this is what I came up with!

These are the pictures I framed. I used my own photography, and spray painted some mix/match thrift store frames to match!

So lets see:

Curtain rods and fabric for curtains: $70
Bedding: $42
Photos: $20
Stand&Chair: Free! (the chair we already had, and the shelf stand was spray painted to match and re-purposed)

9  Mother's Day earrings! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by DreamInStitches on: May 07, 2010 06:49:28 PM
I made these for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. I don't wear earrings, so these are the first pairs I've ever made (C&C are appreciated!  Wink)

I think the purple ones are my favorite! I made two pairs of the blue-themed ones, because I feel like the big blue beads MAY be too big for earrings.  Huh

10  California Beach-Wedding Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by DreamInStitches on: May 05, 2010 07:45:15 AM
My hubby and I got married in April in Half Moon Bay, California (south of San Francicsco). I've been sewing for about two years and everyone expected that I'd make my own dress. So I did, even though it was to be a very small ceremony. We are from NY and chose to fly out with just our two brothers (One from DC, one from NM) to California. It was just the four of us, the officiant, and the photographers. The beach and weather were both absolutely beautiful! So, on with the pictures!
