I whipped these two little guys up as a Valentine's Day present three years ago. I thought they were lost forever but I finally found them. The pattern is not an original but I can't remember where or who I got it from. I think Craft: Magazine's blog featured it? Hope you enjoy!

I live in a tiny apartment and my sister (also my neighbor) has claimed the small backyard as her domain. No biggie since I have plant commitment issues. So I decided to make a terrarium since I think they're infinitely cooler (she's my older sister and therefore, a booger) and low maintenance.

Last night my husband finished playing "Portal 2" and the brainwave to make this cross stitch. The inspiration for this comes from [WARNING: SPOILER ALTERT!] Cave Johnson's last rant over the PA with Caroline/GlaDOS.

I did this on the fly so the spacing is a little off. I feel like it needs a little something extra, but I'm not sure. Also, if there's enough interest, I can jazz it up and write up a pattern which would be posted here and possibly on my blog. I hope that other Portal 2 geeks get the joke.

I won a sock dying kit about two years ago but I never got around to using it. I didn't like the colors the kit came with (shades of mud brown, really?) but I had heard of dying yarn with Kool Aid. My mom was super skeptical that it would work but it did!

It's three skeins of sock yarn, 100% wool. I used one packet of Kool Aid Fruit Punch for each skein and zapped it in the microwave for 2 minutes. The inside of the skeins are a lighter pink while the outsides absorbed more color. I kind of like how variegated it came out and that the three skeins are not uniform in color but still close enough to mesh well. I plan on knitting a baby sweater out of it.

Now if I could only get rid of the kool aid stains on my hands and countertop.  Suggestions?

Not sure what to do with this quilt since no one I knows has a kid and my cat has no interest in it.

I'm still learning how to sew on a machine and this was my first project. I made it last summer.

Hi everyone!

My first sweater was "Tempting" from Knitty. I made this about two years ago but I finally got around to photographing it. This is mostly a swan song for the sweater since I accidentally threw it in the washer AND dryer so now it's shrunk and felted.
