I haven't posted in a while but I wanted to show off my newest creation.  My faux leather dress with spikes.    I wore it out to Sugartown here in Portland and got a great reaction so I am really proud and happy with this one.

I found some cheap fabric at Joann's that screamed spring.  I wanted to make a super simple dress so I took an old shirt that I love dearly but that I can't wear anymore due to some pesky holes in the front and used it as a basic outline for the dress.  It was the perfect length and pairing it with my red bow belt and red shoes I got a bit of a retro feel from it which I loved.  Pretty sure this is one of my new favorite dresses.

I have really wanted to make a fun circle skirt for myself for a while now.  But finding fabric that I can fold into quarters to cut a doughnut out is hard.  But I went to the quilt back section of Fabric Depot and found this super pretty print.  I love it!  Plus the colors gave me an excuse to wear my yellow shoes which I was needing.
I also bought some pretty olive green stretch crushed velvet from Joanns a while back and made a leotard out of it.  You can't see the bottom because I'm a bit modest and wore my skirt which I also made a while back.  Some fun creations in the past few months.

Made a new dress yesterday!  My husband gave me a gift card to Fabric Depot for my birthday last month so I went and found some amazing stretch fabric.  I'm kind of in love with this dress so I made an OoTD post on my blog with the jewelry I made as well.

I know this specific type of project has been done a thousand times but I had so much fun doing it I just couldn't resist taking pics of the before, during and after.  Now the big question... Where am I wearing them first?

I haven't posted much here lately as Keena was so kind to get me addicted to Tumblr where I spend most of my online life these days.  I also have been working on opening my own clothing site which will be open very soon!  

But I wanted to show off some fun and easy little outfits I made for myself recently.  First was a simple tube dress with an elastic top and halter straps.  I used it for a costume as a sexy Hamburglar. Robble Robble!  But it works well for going out as well.  Also its easy to hide the straps and have it just be a tube dress. I made the bracelet and hair bow as well.





And in this second outfit I made the crop top with some amazing fabric I found at Joanns and the black skirt as well.

I made a dress and a shrug jacket last night killing time while my husband was out late.  With a bargain bin sequin tube thing for 2 bucks and some saved fabric I bought 5 years ago, I made a new summer dress. 



I bought lots of fabric recently to start making items and selling them, but I got 2 yards extra on one cut for myself to keep.  I made a shrug for this summer.  The fabric is light so it will be good for cooler days or hotter nights.  Same pattern I used before a couple year back.  Simplicity 2773.

Between draping class  and a fundraiser fashion show projects I haven't been able to work on as much for myself as I would like.  I have managed a few other projects. Some I can't post yet because these pieces were made for me to wear on my plus size pin up site and I'm not sure if they are totally forum appropriate.  But one in particular that is PG enough to show that I am proud of is an asymmetrical hoodie that I made for my trip to Wisconsin.





I also made some DOTS candy boxers/pajama shorts for my dad for christmas.  Its his favorite candy and he lives in shorts.



Finally I entered a fundraiser fashion show here in Portland.  You sign up and get a paper grocery bag full of random fabrics to make whatever you want out of for a model to wear on the night of the fundraiser.  There is a silent auction on all items to raise money for local charities.  This is my first competition with sewing so I am really nervous but am so excited to see how much this event will raise!  This is my piece on my model Crystal.

Well it's been a while since I last posted some pictures of my projects.  Between moving, pattern design classes and getting married I was a little busy.  But still managed to get a few things done!  I'm missing a few pictures from some of my projects but I will post what I have.

First is my wedding dress.  Now I can't take all the credit for this by any means.  My good friend Barb was the magic maker here.  But this is what we came up with when working together-



This is the top which I loved so much.  I for some reason always wanted little peaks on the top of my wedding dress.



Fun one sleeve silver dress I made for my bachelorette party!



Leggings that I ended up cutting to end mid-calf rather than at the ankle.  I'm obsessed with making them now.  Incredibly easy once the patter is sized up.


I know this isn't technically clothing, but since it is worn like it I figured I would post it here too.



And last but not least is my elastic cage skirt.  I am a plus size pinup model and so I wore this for one of my sets.  It's crazy comfy and I want to make a solid colored skirt to go under it eventually so I can wear it in public. lol
