A Co-worker of mine is a mario fan and when she found out what amigurrumi was - she put my talent and her taste together and sent me here : http://wolfdreamer-oth.blogspot.com/2009/06/mario-brothers-goomba.html where goomba was made amigurumi! I got the IDEA of how to make a goomba by looking at this pic (and many many others) and set to work! Cheesy 2 nights later - here he is in all his grumpy glory! Cheesy

The pattern in the blogspot link I shared is not the one i used, mine was improvised. Please let em know what you think !:D

He did not want pics by the way - especially the one where he was full frontal - he really gave me attitude! :s They were worth it Wink He's off to his new home tomorrow Cheesy Whether he likes it or not! Wink

46  Mini Clutch! :) in Crochet: Completed Projects by cranberrry2001 on: September 07, 2009 04:26:16 AM
With a six hour drive one way to a friends wedding, I grabbed a bunch of yarn, knowing I'd have time to sort out how/what I wanted to make Cheesy The idea was to make a clutch - granted that is what I turned out making - but this is a smaller version of what I had in my mind to make. I ended up making a total of 3 in different colors Smiley was alot of fun  and I'm glad for over packing the yarn form the road trip! Wink lol - will post the others soon Cheesy

As always - C&C welcome and appreciated! Cheesy hope everyone is having a fabulous Labor Day! Cheesy Thank you!

47  New CHICK on the block in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by cranberrry2001 on: August 13, 2009 03:24:57 PM
Little background on this design - I was in the check out line at Target and saw a gift card of a bear, a bird and a frog. The gift card only showed the head of each and they were smiling in their own way. As soon as I saw the card I had already had an idea to make a frog and it had yet to come to fruition - so adding the chick to it made the perfect trio in my mind. The eyes of the chick are the joyous ones I portrayed on my creation :0) So this lil gal is one of a kind made from my very own pattern! It was a labor of love to be sure! ;0)

From top of head (minus "hair" ;-)) sits 3" tall! Smiley

Wingspan is 3" wide as well. :-)

Made with ivory acrylic yarn and stuffed with polyfil and colored thread for expression.

C&C are always welcome!

48  The Frog Prince - Amigurumi! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by cranberrry2001 on: July 19, 2009 07:07:49 PM
This is my 2nd amigurumi custom made pattern! I am excited to share it! :0) I hope it becomes a quick favorite! Wink

It was definitely a labor of love! :0)

It's currently up for a giveaway if you are a fan of lostsentiments facebook fan page - be sure to check it out! :0)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Im sure you can remember the story of The Frog Prince from grade school and the popular phrase related to this story, You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your handsome prince.
Whether the phrase is true or not is purely subject to interpretation Wink - BUT in an effort to curb the amount of frogs one must kiss, I made this adorable lil guy for others to put on their desk to brighten their day and allow a quick daydream of the fella now or the one they pray comes along to whisk 'em off their feet! :0)
This lil frog prince would do well in a group of stuffed animals for a child as well! Their imagination would come alive as someone reads the book with The Frog Prince in hand! ;0)
From nose to bum he measures: 3
Width of bum: 1 1/2
Width of nose: 1
Back legs from pit to tip: 2 1/4
Front legs from pit to tip: 2
C& C always welcome! Thank you for looking!
49  Chocolate Coffee Toffee Handbag in Crochet: Completed Projects by cranberrry2001 on: June 22, 2009 04:28:09 PM
Say THAT 10 times fast! Wink. I named it what I did cause it has all the colors Wink
Okay so for the most part my yarn stash is full of earth tones and for some reason I had this lovely gold thread hat I wasn't sure what to do with - but wanted to use... so I grabbed some prairie acrylic yarn. I hadn't tried making a bag of any kind up until then so I decided to branch out from my scarves and afghans and make one!
At the time, this was before I knew about free patterns, tips, tricks, you tube helps, etc on the internets... so this is my own pattern if you will
 The beads are ivory tusk I go from rendezvous days in Protivin, Ia. And the button is a bead as well! It's really soft too! :0) Oh! and the end patches are chenille. Smiley
hope you like it! C& C are appreciated! Smiley
May retake pics of it in the future - cause I don't think the brown background quite shows you all the lovely jeweltones in the yarn.
50  Elegant Royal Blue Hand Knit Basket Weave Buttoned Cowl in Knitting: Completed Projects by cranberrry2001 on: June 21, 2009 11:32:35 AM
4/29 about an inch in height now! This is the first time Ive used this stitch before - cool! :-)
5/10 so I realize I screwed up several rows back and I can now fix my mistake - will need to pull many rows out Sad - rather do it right though. :-)
SO since May I had casted on and pulled this baby out 4 times at least and realized - stitch markers are a really good idea Wink so after wising up to that - I actually was able to finish the lovely creation! lol Hope you enjoy the pics! :0)
The pattern is a free ravelry download : http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/victoire - I think you may need to be a member... not sure how that works.
