Just wanted to say thanks to all who have posted comments on my jacket. for thoes that asked if i used a pattern. the answer is no, i had an old sweater that i loved but was white, or rather use to be white lol so i fianilly sacrifised it and cut it up and used it as a pattern to go by. I love the way it turned out. and the other good thing was is i had all the stuff to do it, the outside is an old bed sheet, and the inside i bought to make the inside layer of a blue jean quilt i made Smiley thanks again everyone.

ps also would like to say sorry it took so long to reply to this post i've just been really busy with life Sad stress............anyways haven't had a lot of time to craft and never even thought to check my stuff to see if anyone commented on it. so once again sorry for the length of time it took me to reply.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / need help with had size change or new pattern for this hat on: October 15, 2010 11:35:38 AM
Hello everyone i really want to make this hat http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/swirls-cap but it needs to be in a size 2 for a toddler and that hat is meant for an adult, can someone please help me eather find a pattern like that but in the right size? or help me figure out how to make that hat smaller? thanks in advance. it's for a boy by the way so it doesnt' have to be exactly like that, but i like that it has the strap along the front of it.

hi everyone i'm new to knitting, i know how to crochet but mostly make my own stuff and don't use a pattern. so recently i've decited it would be nice to learn to knit. so i'm started a retelivly easy pattern for "two needle mittens" the only probablem is that in a couple of parts of the patterns it says " work even in SS untill piece measures..........." I can't figure out what that means, I"m thinking it stands for Single Stitch? when i looked up knitting abreaviations all i can find is slipped stitch, but that doesn't make sence to me, eather i don't clearly know what a slipped stitch is or...................HuhHuhHuh? I just don't know if someone could please help me out that would be sooo great. i would really apreashiate it. here is the link to the pattern i'm using if that helps anyone in figuring out how to help me lol. thanks again to anyone who replys. http://www.allfreecrafts.com/knitting/two-needle-mitts.shtml
