I wouldn't recommend making them with bigger beads (like I have with the purple ring and the green ring)... they ended up being too bulky and harder to slip on.

I'm making a whole mess of them throughout the year to house xmas gifts... I think with these and the magazine bows, I may be all set for my recycler friends

That idea sounds great. The BW was my second attempt so it's neater. The pictures don't really show it but the colored one is messier.

I finally finished making these boxes that I've wanted to share. I followed a tutorial on making these here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stefanie1/sets/1577206/ when I saw this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ournew/287147587/. It uses almost the same folding technique as those pretty Magazine Bowls, except here there's a lot more gluing involved and it's probably a little more time consuming.

I made the colored one while I was sick one day (that'd explain why the colors are almost psychedelic). The black and white one is more like me, it's smaller and can fit into the colored one with it's lid on.

Instead of posting a bunch of photos, I made a collage of them.
