1  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Knitty's Starsky Knit-A-Long? on: April 24, 2006 05:56:44 PM
I've been working on mine for weeks, and it seems to stay the same length no matter how much I knit!

C'mon... hasn't anyone finished?  I could use some inspiration to get moving on this!

Scarlet- wow!  looks amazing!

Aunt Suzi-  Thanks for the yarn review!  I think I'm going to give it a shot.

I am seriously considering this project- and so are several members of my knitting circle.  But, I was wondering about the knit pics sierra yarn... I've never used Knitpics... and was wondering about the quality and how it will hold up.  I would hate to spend the time on this project and then realize the yarn is icky.

So... can I have a yarn review from those that have used the sierra in the past- or those that are using it currently?

Thanks!  Can't wait to see progress on your Starsky's!
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: I made an Alexander McQueen knock-off sweater! on: February 04, 2006 10:01:23 PM
please please please make a pattern and sell it to me.  I am in love with your sweater- when I saw the post my first thought was, "wow- I wonder what the original sweater looks like if this is a knock-off!"  Then when I looked at the original.... wow.  Yours is so much better!

Love this pattern.  I am almost done knitting all of his little parts, but before I start seaming him up... I just want to confirm that I only knit one of the body.  It's just one right?  Not two?
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Jayne Cobb Hat! on: May 26, 2005 02:17:31 PM
Ok, it's time for me to knit this.  With the release of Serenity right around the corner, I've got to have my own Jayne hat.  Here's my question- did you go with Lopi, or Bulky Lopi?  Any site recommendations as to where to buy?  Any other yarn choices thatg worked well?

Thanks!

OK, I really want to do this hat.  I made a scarf for a friend out of rowan ribbon twist and have enough left to make the hat too.  Here's the thing... I really want to knit this in the round.  I read in SNBN that to change a sweater pattern to in the round, you just cast on two less for the front and two less for the back.  Using this logic, could I take the pattern and just cast on two less and knit it on circular needles instead?

Crud.  I was wondering if I had enough yarn to make this hat, and went to the site to check out the pattern and saw the notice.  People suck.  I think it may be the universe telling me I have too many projects already and that it's time to stop.  (or maybe the universe is just telling me to wait until she has the pattern for purchase and make this hat after the first of the year...)

Hurray!  My book came from Amazon yesterday!

And, tomorrow I get to go to the yarn shop to buy supplies for the many projects on my ever-growing list.....
