Gorgeous Prince George's. I had a great potted garden with the help of a an avid farmer friend. We live right next to Greenbelt Nation Park and the deer ate well last spring. I was heart broken. Your's are fairing well considering the whack weather we've had.
I have worked in shelters my whole life. You guys rock for making or giving any time to the animals. Another great idea that one shelter I worked for used, was a doggy t-shirt or jacket that says "ADOPT ME" on the shirt. That way when they go for walks or to events everyone knows they are available for adoption. Thus starting conversations about the animal and getting them new homes without being too pushy.
I am an Animal Control Officer for my local shelter. I have volunteered to craft our float this year for the community's Labor Day Parade. BIG DEAL in my area. Anywho, I'm in need of some ideas.
My wonderful boyfriend has volunteered his pickup for the event. I was thinking of making his vehicle into a dog or cat. I was thinking water noodles for whiskers, cardboard for ears, and styrofoam for a nose.
Any ideas or suggestions welcome. Thank you for any input!!!!!
