1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Snowman table runner on: November 24, 2010 08:10:35 PM
This is the second quilt I've done.  I saw the pattern in a local quilt shop and had to get it, my mom loves snowmen.  I can't wait to give it to her tomorrow  Grin
Thanks for looking!

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Quilt binding on: November 17, 2010 07:58:24 PM
I'm getting ready to bind my first quilt with Wrights quilt bias tape and I was wondering, do I need to pre-wash the binding before I sew it to the quilt?
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New checkbook cover on: November 05, 2010 09:35:27 PM
I got tired of carrying the plain boring plastic checkbook cover from the bank so today I got a little creative and decided to make one.  I'm happy with how it turned out.  I even put in a piece of vinyl for my duplicate checks.

The outside

And the inside, the shine is the vinyl.
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Jasper and leather wrap bracelet on: August 16, 2010 07:32:24 PM
A new bracelet I made using brown leather cord and turquoise jasper.  It's my new favorite piece to wear Smiley

5  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / My favorite summer salad! on: June 08, 2010 06:20:48 PM
I rarely find a food that is noteworthy, I guess I'm kinda picky that way, but I came up with a salad that I just can't get enough of and I want to share it with everyone Smiley

Ingredients:
(use as many of each as desired depending on the size of salad you want)

Any dark green salad mix (I love the 50/50 from Fresh Express)
Dried cranberries
Mandarin oranges
Raspberry Hazelnut vinaigrette

For a tasty option toss in some cooked chicken!

And a pic for reference
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bifold wallet with a coin pocket (img heavy) on: May 31, 2010 04:09:41 PM
A while ago a friend asked me to make her a wallet with a coin pocket on the outside.  She didn't want a huge one but wanted it big enough to hold several cards, some cash as well as coins.  I finally got some time today to sit at my machine and work out the pattern.  After I became friends with my seam ripper >.< I have a final product!  This one is the prototype and will most likely be used by me.  My friends will be made with green and purple fabrics.  As always C & C welcome!! Cheesy

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New purse completed on: May 03, 2010 10:00:38 PM
A friend of mine asked me to make a purse for his seven year old daughter, soon to be eight years old. I told him to look at a gallery of fabrics that  I have on hand so she could choose what she wanted.  Here is the finished purse with one of the fabrics she liked.  It was my first time using this pattern I bought on Etsy.  C&C always welcome Smiley

Jumping on the long wallet band wagon, here are my first two attempts Smiley

And now for something completely different, an envelope style clutch.

As always C&C's are welcome!
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Peas in a Pod on: August 04, 2009 02:30:05 PM
I love this style of earring so today while I had nothing to do I sat at my crafting table and went to town on figuring out the best way to make them.  The peas are jade beads left over from another project, yay for using up part of my stash!
