1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Animal themed Doll house on: November 09, 2008 05:55:36 PM
I think these are super cute but I haven't seen them in stores for a while:

Would you be interested in crafting your own little animals?  This thread caught my attention because I just bought this book: http://www.amazon.com/Sweet-Needle-Felts-Projects-Wear/dp/1600610390 and I really want to make the little animals on the cover and build a little house for them and decorate it and it will be so cute and and and....  Although I don't know how suitable they'd be for a toddler.

4  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: 50 Wash Cloths-along (now with MORE patterns!) on: July 22, 2007 02:21:05 PM
here's a link to more patterns!  I really like the valentine one, the others were kind of meh
I've been making dishcloths when I get fed up with other things, but usually I just go through Barbara Walker and find a pattern I want to try and knit a dishcloth-sized swatch!  But some of the patterns you posted are super cute, I'll have to try them!
5  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Write-Your-Own-Pattern-a-Long on: July 20, 2007 06:09:00 PM
I'd really like to participate!  I have yarn and a sketch for a sweater -- I just need to make some swatches and do some math  Tongue  I also really need to finish the pair of socks I'm making before I start something new.... really, I'm just procrastinating because I don't like math...  One of these days I'll get over it and join in!
6  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: I got a drop spindle and I made some yarn! on: July 17, 2007 12:14:52 PM
Thanks for the feedback, y'all!  I got paranoid -- "Oh no, everyone hates my yarn and doesn't want to tell me!".   Cheesy

Isn't that crazy about the spindle?  It was a little wierd....

thanks for all the compliments -- this is a fun hobby!  I'm really impressed with how much better my 3rd yarn is than the 1st effort, and it can only get better from here, right?  I also just spun up one of the batts, and it's really nice and even -- the wool (cotswald, I think) is much easier to work with than the merino.  I'll post pics of that whenever I put a new battery in the camera.

Hmmmm, no comments.

Not good yarn?  Too wordy?  bad photo?  what?
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Calla! on: July 13, 2007 06:39:18 PM
Thanks for the nice comments.

but er, what do you wear underneath it?
In the pics, I'm wearing a light tan camisole, which gives the impression that I'm not wearing anything underneath.

hee hee, that's what I was wondering, but was too shy to ask!
9  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: spinning bamboo - setting twist? on: July 13, 2007 03:12:04 PM
I don't know the answer, but I know that Holly is really nice, and I'm sure if you emailed her she'd be able to clarify!
10  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Fiber Friday the 13th, 2007! on: July 13, 2007 02:57:12 PM
OMG!  I can finally participate in Fiber Friday!
Here's my contribution:

It's pretty much my first yarn EVER, spun on a drop spindle.  I described them in more length in a seperate post, but I was just so excited to participate in FF that I had to post them here too!
