1  Watch parts and bling! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by mglfan on: July 08, 2011 02:20:57 PM
My bead group had a challenge "Everything old is new again" and it really piqued my interest.  I bought some old watch parts and got to embroidering.  I am really happy with how it turned out.  C&C welcome!

The round pieces on the sides are buttons.

There are sequins on the top right side and the bottom left side, so there is "flow"

2  New LGD Margo-My first one in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by mglfan on: February 27, 2011 10:20:48 AM
I started cutting this out and sewing on Friday, and finished it up by Saturday.  That's almost instant gratification compared to the 2 week projects I've been doing lately!  Joan's patterns have ingenius little tricks, and a great zipper instillation.  I wanted to center a flower for the front, but moved my ruler by accident when I was cutting (oops!), so I used that as that as the back.  I think it turned out great.  What do you think?

3  Shirley Temple tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by mglfan on: February 17, 2011 02:55:59 PM
I made this tote for my friend using the Professional Tote Pattern.  There are a bagillion pieces to this tote pattern, lol.  I was confused by the inside seam where the zippered pocket attaches to the sides, but once the light bulb went off and I understood the concept that it was ATTACHED, that helped a lot.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.  What do you think?  C&C welcome!

4  First Craftster post! My new Mickey bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by mglfan on: March 18, 2010 04:03:43 PM
I have been carrying a bag that I made that I did not like.  Money is tight, so I dug thru my stash and came up with this.  I used a McCall's pattern that I got for $.99, but everything else, including thread and zipper, were at home.  Hope you like it as much as I do.

Here is the handbag

Here is a pic of the embroidery

And here is the lining (The Minnie part because it is pink!)

C&C appreciated.  Thanks for looking!
