991  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Pi day! on: March 14, 2009 10:17:17 PM
I can't believe I forgot it was pi day! I remembered all week... forgot on the actual day haha but it's nice to see other people celebrate. Your pies are really cute and yummy looking... especially that strawberry rhubarb!
992  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Choker from a Ring on: March 14, 2009 10:05:55 PM
This is a cute way to turn a ring into a necklace... I'm not a big fan of just threading a ring onto a chain or cord which a lot of people seem to do with rings that are too big, so I might have to try this instead. thanks for the idea!

I agree with everyone that says wear it everywhere too! More people definitely need to wear whatever they want on a daily basis... You can always pair the top with a different bottom (or the skirt with a different top, of course) to tone it down a bit if you need to.

Also, you must have amazing patience to do all those pin tucks and put together that top!
994  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hello! Long time lurker, first time topic starter on: March 08, 2009 05:28:49 PM
I've been lurking for years... seriously... at least since I was sixteen and now I'm almost 20
Why did I not register earlier? Well I hate choosing user names!! I'm so bad at it!!
But I caved finally so here I am.
I do a little bit of almost everything... I sew, make jewelry, polymer clay, origami and other paper objects (currently I'm working on a thousand origami cranes), bake, draw, take photos... and other things I'm forgetting I'm sure
I also tend to ramble haha

So, hello everyone!!

okay so I just registered... because I had to say this is an awesome idea for this dress!! I have this pattern but it's been laying around because it uses so much fabric and I don't think I would get much wear out of the dress, but I could definitely see getting a lot more use out of it in two pieces!
