1  Yoshi in Halloween Costumes by psychodrea on: November 01, 2009 09:14:41 AM
One night after drinking lots of alcoholic beverages, I decided that I was going to be Yoshi for Halloween and announced it. After sobering up, I had no clue how to proceed.

The end result

Slightly better shot of the head

Everyone was shocked that I pulled it off, I wish I had a better picture of the back to show the spikes and the shell.

The main body is a sweats set from target on sale, bought an extra pair of pants to make the tail and to cover the head.  The head is an old baseball hat that i put in a box and filled the box with the expanding foam, Great Stuff.  Once it was dry, carved the head out and covered with fabric. The tail is a leg of the pants cut at the knee and the existing waist band with the extra white fabric rounding out the tail shape.  It was easily rotatable and removable so I spent all of Friday at work wearing this, and had no problems in the chair or moving around.

2  Mario Onesies in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by psychodrea on: July 29, 2008 07:55:53 AM
I believe I'm posting in the right place, but as I haven't crafted in posted in forever... Right now I have no craft space at all, and with a baby shower that came up, I decided iron-on transfer paper would be the perfect thing to bring some geeky-ness in.  I knew for sure the dad would be happy with less pastel blue and green, didn't realize that mom was really into Mario.

the picture isn't very good cause I was rushed, but theres Mario & Luigi, Yoshi, Raccoon Mario, flying Goombas, and Bowser

3  Jean Skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by psychodrea on: January 08, 2005 06:18:14 PM
i made two jean skirts, both of which i took a pair of jeans that fit around the waist, but they were wore out between the legs.  so i ripped them up the inside seam and sewed in the first one a triangle of jean and in the second skirt a triangle of black satin.  well 2 triangles really.  one for the back and one for the front.

the first one with jean triangles....

the second with black satin triangles...

don't mind my sisters messy room/bed.. the light was burned out in mine.
