Hello there...I'm not usually on this board but I figured this would be the best place to ask for help. My brothers girlfriend is graduating college and she wants to have a Disney themed grad party with costumes. Well here's the problem my brother is 6ft tall and wears a 2x so hes not a skinny guy...so we'll have to make a costume...he wants to be a sarcastic character to match his personality. We thought of Iago from Alladin....Does anyone else have any ideas?

Hello there! I don't believe that Iv ever posted on this board before usually I'm in the Crochet boards or at the Harry Potter craftalong.Which is where I first posted this project. A few days ago I desided to buy a travel sized sketch book like the ones Id seen at walmart and just personalise it. but when they ran out i just bought a pad of paper.later that night I happened upon a bookbinding tute on pinterest which i then nosed around on youtube and found a great tute for a coptic stitched sketch book http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2FRKbQI2kY and I just dived in! I followed the tute and added some fabric and scrap paper to the covers...after i bound the book (I wouldn't recommend doing it in that order but I couldn't find some of my supplies and I was too excited to wait). Also i needed more than 2 lines of stitching but I didn't think that one through very well lol. So I glued and folded a black bit of fabric to reinforce the spine.Since I'm always loosing my pencils, a book strap was born out of the cut off hem from the sleeve of an old black tee. all i had to do was clip a small hole in the tube created by the hem and stash the pencil inside! I'm definitely going to make more of these I love the fact that it lies flat and i got to use one of my fave fabrics. The fabric glue i used on the black part left streaks but the clear school glue I used for the rest worked great
anyway heres a pic. What do ya think? not bad for a first try I think.

Wicked the musical will be celebrateing its 10th year running in 2013 and i know this is probably jumping the gun (by a year) but i wondered if anyone had an interest in doing a swap with Wicked as the theme. im not sure if i could organize by myself but being a co-organizer or having a co-organizer i think i could handle.

i happened to be looking through older photos tonight and found a unicorn i made for a little cousins birthday in 2010. i needed a mythical little friend really fast and i didn't like the patterns i was finding so i saw a chihuahua pattern in my crochet calender id got for Christmas. and i thought change colors and ears add a horn and TADA!
unicorn! shes nothing fancy but the birthday girl loved it so that's what matters

Hey everybody!
This is my first non crochet post. I made this for a swap the image is from the twilight graphic novel. The whole thing looks off center. but in the book the lines are slanted and i forgot that when i traced the qoute so it all looks off...but in the end i liked it really well. this was the first time id given away a hoop and the first time id finished the back of one...though i forgot to get a pic of the back. it was light gray felt with our user names stiched in black. oh and the pic came from padfoot

i made this doll for the Breathless waiting for breaking dawn swap and since my partner has received I'm putting this up. shes the "free spirit by Beth Ann Webber" (free pattern on raverly). the dress was inspired by the one Alice wears at Bella and Edwards wedding in Breaking Dawn part 1. Her hair was really hard to figure out but I'm happy with how it ended up. my only regret is i couldn't get any shoes i made to look right. so i left her barefoot. (maybe she went hunting after the reception lol).  and thank you padfoot for the nice pic... mine were horrid.   

My 15 yr old 2nd cousin shares my love of family guy and asked me to crochet him a hat...we got to talking and i got the idea to take the colors from peters clothes...but that just didnt seem to be enough. so to make it more exciteing for me i tried my hand at applique... and we both loved the result.
