2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Izak's First Year Album (VERY IMG Heavy) on: November 04, 2009 02:00:59 PM
I hope digital scrapbooking is welcome here. If not, I'll be happy to move or delete this post.

I have finally finished my son's first year album! I get so side-tracked with my seasonal albums every year that I always forget to work on the yearly albums. I would love to know what you all think. Anyway, here it is:

3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Ellery the Elephant on: September 23, 2009 10:50:28 AM
Introducing Ellery the Elephant!

She's about six inches tall, five inches wide at her widest part (ears). I love her! I plan on making an army of elephants for all my cousins at Christmas. Ellery is getting a pink sister as we speak!

For all those who read my post about how I had been doing my amis wrong, look at those stitches! I did her the correct way and I love it so much more than the other way.

Thanks for looking!

5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Creepy Cute Draco Malfoy on: September 10, 2009 10:56:17 AM
Introducing Mini Malfoy, based on Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter series:

I crocheted him following the corporate zombie pattern from the Creepy Cute Crochet book. His tie, robe, eyes and hair are all made of felt.

What do you think?

6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / I've been doing my ami's WRONG! on: August 15, 2009 07:51:59 PM
I just watched this video and realized that I've been doing my ami's wrong!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoK0C4wD-Z8

Does anyone else do them the other way? Was I the only one who didn't know this and did them wrong side out?  Sad
7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Meow! on: August 08, 2009 12:15:51 PM
Introducing my newly crocheted kitty friend:

I love kitties, but am terribly allergic. I suppose that crocheted cats are the next best thing. I got the pattern from delicious crochet on etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5162369). Her patterns are great. They use very basic shapes and combine them to make great looking ami's.

The only bad part about this kitty was putting her together. She had quite a few parts!

I'm thinking about making a black kitty with an orange bow for a Halloween / fall decoration in my house. What does everyone think?

9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / My fawn on: August 03, 2009 03:32:01 PM
This is one of the first amis I fell in love with when I started crocheting, but I didn't think I would ever actually make it because it seemed so complicated. I finally bought the pattern on etsy (fawn 2.0 if you want to find it) and it isn't all that difficult. I used a G hook instead of the super small hooks, so the end result is pretty big. I'm definitely going to be making more of these very soon!

Here is the WIP photo, which shows the curve of the muzzle a little better.

I hope you all like it! I absolutely recommend this pattern. It isn't difficult at all as long as you follow it line by line.
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Can you imagine.... on: August 03, 2009 03:22:23 PM
....not having at least one crochet project going? I started in March and I've had at least two things going all the time. I can't even imagine my life without a project anymore. What the heck did I do while I watched TV? lol.
