7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: dog sweaters? on: December 12, 2009 10:39:55 AM
They have some links to patterns here. And micheals has some cute ones on their website.

But most often they look like they would fit rounder bodied dogs better... and Italian greyhounds are skinny little things.

Good luck with the dog sweater, I've been thinking of making one for my bichon since he's gotten too fat for the one my Grandma made him when he was a puppy.

As for names, definitely go for something Italian, like Bella... even tho people will accuse you of going twilightly, I still think it's and awesome dog's name.

Hello!

So I've been busy knitting and crocheting for the holidays and since these are finishing up fastest, I thought I'd show them too you all!

They are Christmas tree ornaments inspired by Mr. Peen over at presents knits (and other things too).

Here he is without the hat and scarf so you can see his shape.

For my second attempt I wanted to get a smoother overall shape, and rather like the results

These ones even stand up on their own.

What do you think, I need to make 6 or so of these guys to give to some friends as christmas gifts, I'm putting a loop thru the back so they can be hung on a tree very easily.

The pattern is avaible on my blog if you're interested, and I will be posting the full set when they're finished!
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crochet plant cell pillow :) on: November 22, 2009 02:48:43 PM
This is amazing! I love artsy fartsy science projects! reminds me of an oil painting of the yellow submarine exploring an anatomically correct GI tract in grade 11. Handed it it for a project in my art class... and used it to study for my anatomy Bio test.

I think you need to do a matching animal cell tho, cause your plant cell is too awesome to go stag. Grin
