My son is color-blind, so occasionally his greens and reds get mixed up.  It doesn't interfere too much, I can usually modify stuff.  But it's one to think about.

I may have to use that lily.
I believe the symbol on the tank on the right is the Japanese kanji for the number ten.

They're so sweet!  It's just the kind of thing I want for my daughter.

The spider rocks, but I really just wanted to tell you that I admire your handwriting.

I love the color!
Question--is that a hanger shaped like a ribcage?

Adorable.
Did you add some sort of weight in the bottom to help him sit up?

I've learned to not think of unwearable attempts as a waste.  They are experience.  Think of it as the cost of learning--like a class fee.  And you sure won't repeat any mistakes you might have made when they've been so frustrating!  Look at how wonderful your second version was.  So stop worrying about the stuff that ends in a pile--it's been used (not wasted) just in a different way than you intended.
268  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Shoo-Fly Blue & White Baby Quilt on: November 07, 2009 11:07:24 AM
It reminds me of Japanese, indigo-dyed fabric.
269  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Canning Jars on: November 07, 2009 11:00:09 AM
I saw a quilt like this at a show recently, but instead of fruit and veggie fabric, they used bug fabric.  It looked like what my kids do in the back yard during summer.
Does that make sense?

I like the way the fabric pulls on the snow, even though when that happens on a regular quilt it's supposed to be a mistake.  It just gives it dimension on yours.
