16  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / BIRTHDAY house party inspiration DIY! on: February 12, 2011 11:18:00 PM
House party I threw for my friend last year.
We had way too much candy (cupcake wrappers I made from paper doilies, and the candy dishes were all random finds at thrift stores) and a photo booth (from a sheet found at a thrift store, fringe that I found as there well, --and a banner that I sewed in just a few hours) on our front porch...turned out really well!

For the photo booth I cut out a ton of pieces of felt and sewed them all together, then printed out a pattern of bats from martha stewart.com and cut them out from black construction paper.

Made from sewing felt into little flowers and sewing paper cut outs into long strands--all mixed into one!

Made both of these from a pattern in Sew Everything Workshop...super easy directions + a book that is worth getting to get the basics of sewing down.
