1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / "Model in a box" for my boyfriend? on: December 12, 2005 03:08:49 PM
Alrighty everyone. I haven't been on craftster for quite some time now because I have  been so uber busy with school and university applications! But I am here today to ask your help! My boyfriend is hoping to break into the modelling world and has been doing auditions and things lately. His agent (or something lol) tells him he has a lot of potential so I'm really excited for him. So I was thinking, "Hey! How about I make him a Model-In-A-Box!?" I was inspired by all those ____in a box things around here and thought I might try my hand at it. The only thing is, I'm not sure what to put in it. I'd appreciate any ideas! Thanks everyone.
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Applique Template Help on: August 08, 2005 02:44:19 PM
I've been on the internet for a few hours now and I have had close to no luck finding templates for appliques. I'd like to make some like those found here:

I'd really appreciate any links to sites or threads that contain free templates for appliques! Thank you all!
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / So I've started getting my legs waxed... on: May 05, 2005 03:03:55 PM
Hey everyone!
Like I said in the topic thingy, I recently started getting my legs waxed. I like that the smooth feeling lasts but I also know that you sort of have to grow out the hair a little before you can wax it again. What can I do to make the hair look less noticable when I wear skirts and such in summer? Also, I find my legs look pretty pasty and blotchy and horrible after the winter. I try and moisturize and stuff but they never look like those pretty shiny beach legs you see everywhere. By everywhere I mean magazines and commercials and I know a lot of that stuff is totally airbrushed but I still wanna make my legs look gorgeous! lol I welcome any avice you have!
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / T-shirt pillow? on: April 26, 2005 03:27:31 PM
Okay, so I said I'd make my friend a pillow out of a t-shirt she loves with Mario on it. Except, I don't know how. I get that I'd sew up 3 sides, turn it right side out and stuff it, but then how do I sew up the last side to make it look neat? Can any of you great pillow-makers help me out here please?
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Some uber cute purses! on: March 26, 2005 01:47:15 PM
I'm on a posting frenzy today! Take a look at these puppies! I find I'm getting better and better at making purses!

And here's a close-up of the inside of the book purse!

Lemme know what yah think!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / T-shirts turned rock! (large pics) (My happy day with scissors) on: March 26, 2005 01:44:07 PM
First I have to say I don't exactly know how to make the pics smaller but still clear. I haven't mastered that art yet lol. These are two shirts I made today. The first was just an old Campus Crew tee that never really flattered me. So I just cut off the neck and the sleeves and the bottom to create a sort of half shirt thing. I'm praying the edges don't fray (just curl) so that I can wear this all the time!

Now we have an ugly, Old Navy shirt turned hot corset! And it's super comfy because of the worn in t-shirt fabric.

And here's another view of it which makes it look sorta wonky but oh well:

There we have it! Hope you like them! Gimme feedback people!

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet Virgin on: March 18, 2005 02:33:47 PM
What do I need to start crochetting? I mean I know you need a hook or something but I really have no idea where to start. I'm going to a craft store tomorrow so I just need to know what to get so I could start leanring!
8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Chiffony Scarves on: March 18, 2005 02:26:13 PM
Hey Y'all,
I really love crafster and have found so many great ideas here. So, I thought I'd ask you all what can I do with my chiffon scarves? They're the type of scarves that you'd put on your head if you were going in a convertable and didn't want to ruin your beehive. lol They're all really pretty and cool prints so I just can't let go of them!
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / HELP!!! How Do You Get Iron Burns Out Of Fabric!!?? on: March 15, 2005 07:57:59 AM
Hey Everybody!
Last night I was trying to iron something on to a purse I made and I left the iron in one spot too long. Then I find out it isn't even fusable!  Angry It sort of made the pink fabric go a little orange in that spot and although it's not that noticable, I'm a perfectionist. The burn is of the first degree, I would say (Haha I sound like a doctor) so it really isn't all that bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
