I'm not sure what the twigs are, found them in my neighbor's garden, and there was nothing on it, it was just bare twigs - so I asked him if I could use em. He didn't know what they were either, lol. I went to Michaels to check for the dried stuff, but they were a little too pricey for my budget T.T

Hi, I just finished this project and wanted to share some pictures Smiley
I folded 80 little origami cherry blossoms, used tissue for the centers, and glued them to branches. Then finally put them in a cute vase. It came out really big, but it looks lovely! (the pictures do not do justice T.T)

I was inspired by The Flirty Guide. Althought quite honestly, I had THE hardest time figuring out how to fold it and thought about making my own tutorial but I'm not sure if it's ok to do that, like with copyrights? If someone knows, please tell me. I'd love to put it on my craft blog!

That would be a really awesome mother in law gift. Thanks for the tute. Is it the kind of wide ribbon that you'd wrap packages with? The kind that curls when you run scissors over one side? Or is it more like satin ribbon? You probably said somewhere, but I just read poly ribbon.

The ribbon I used is about 2 cm wide and 1 yard long, and it's the kind that you wrap packages with. I couldn't find it at Michael's or Hobby Lobby, I had to get my parents to send them to me from China =x I wish I knew the exact name, I tried to google it, and Poly Satin ribbon was the closest one to it.. >.<

I couldn't find a section for ribbon crafts, so I hope I am ok posting it here for now.
Here's some roses made of ribbon, green wire, and green sticky tape Cheesy

This is what I am gonna give to my mother in law for Mother's Day this year - I know, a little early, hehe.

There's a tutorial here http://mycraftthingies.blogspot.com/2009/02/ribbon-roses.html It's from my blog ^_^, enjoy!
