1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitting for the Grandkids on: July 06, 2011 04:44:21 AM
I have been busy knitting away for the grandkids. It's been great fun. So far I have a sweater and 3 soakers done. Working on some more projects that I'll be sharing in the coming weeks.

Sweater for the Granddaughter. Just need to find the right button for the top.

Soakers for the new grandbaby due in Feb 2012

I did one of those a few months ago, for my grandson, mine was ordered in blue and red. I was very sorry when my knitting bag was stolen and that book was in the bag. My grandson has a great time with his Squirrel car.

So I started to knit this for my Granddaughter only to find out after it was done she dosne't like the feel of wool. Oh well these things happen. I'll be gifting it to a very lucky little girl instead.

This one I started for my Honorary Grandson. Sadly he hit a growth spurt before it was done and it now won't fit him. Good thing my daughter has a friend with a little one who it will fit.

The soaker is made for a friend of my daughter's who cloth diapers. He little man is fairly large and she's having a hard time finding things to fit him. This is big enough!
7  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Dishalicious Dishcloth/Washcloth Swap Rd 11 (Signups 05/21/2011 to 05/28/2011) on: May 23, 2011 05:56:56 AM
We use them to wash dishes here. Some are used as face cloths on the grandchildren. They really are a useful thing to have around the house. Have even used them as coasters in the summer for sweaty glasses!

I wish I had thought of this when our Whippet was still alive, those long bony legs would have been kept nice and warm. Whippets love to cuddle and crawl under blankets. She ended up wearing a child's "T" shirt for the last few years of her life. I think the idea is wonderful. Well done.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Squirrel Car on: February 13, 2011 06:02:24 AM
So my daughter got me the book kintting Mochimochi for Christmas. She promtely lost the book when the grandkids took off with it to read. The then tidied up by putting it on the shelf. See as the kids are 3 and 5 to have tidied it up was a huge step. Any how the book was refound, wrapped and put under the tree. Upon opening it my grandson informed me that he wanted the squirrel car and how fast could I get it done. So it was off to my daughters yarn stash to have him pick out the colors. After a few wks of starting and stopping, work so gets in the way of crafting here is the squirrel car!
