151  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: How I organized my fabric stash!! on: March 01, 2009 11:13:29 PM
Love it, the bookcase looks great with all the bright colors! And the closet is so neat now, I want something like that!!
Can't believe all of that stuff fitted into the closet before, no wonder you never knew which fabrics you already had  Cheesy

I love the colors, I'd never be brave enough to paint a room like that, but it looks fantastic! With all the little pictures it looks really cozy.
153  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Does anyone sew by hand anymore? on: March 01, 2009 12:03:53 PM
I do all my sewing by hand, since I don't own a sewing machine. I might get one this year, if I start sewing garments as well, but I'm not in a hurry. I like sewing by hand in the evenings, in front of the telly, very relaxing.
I make mostly quilts and small things like purses or cushions. I'd spend a couple of weeks on a quilt, but then again I have no deadline, so why hurry? I'm 10 times more proud of something that took me so long to finish than of something that only took me a couple of hours on the machine.
Plus I love the shocked faces of people when I tell them its completely sewn by hand  Grin
154  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ideas for a quilt pattern with these fabrics on: March 01, 2009 11:49:29 AM
I love the colors! I would also go with the stacked coins design, maybe adding one or two pale pink fabrics.

Love the colors, really bright and vibrant! They work so well with the pattern!
