I have a great idea....but does it have to be a household object or can it be an item of clothing?

Let's stick with houseware-type items for this one.

Okey dokey...I got an even better idea after posting the question anyway!

Okay, I am tired but triumphant  Grin
The room of doom was cleared out today and I bought a tall shelving unit for all my crafty stuff. I managed to get some cardboard archive boxes and covered them in the same wallpaper from my bedroom walls. They will hold all my yarn, crochet hooks, cardmaking stuff and notions. I'll post pics up when I'm totally done!
I don't have space for a craft table, so I'm thinking of building some kind of drop down table that I can fold against the wall when I'm not using it.
I was so in the organising zone today that I also completely rearranged my little girl's room too!
My back hurts and I'm exhausted, but so proud of my efforts  Cheesy

You've done an amazing job there! That looks like a LOT of work, and I bet you had a few moments, surrounded by fabric, when you wondered why on earth you started this!
I tackled my giant closet of doom today and I had several of those moments...mainly when I couldn't see my bed for the mountain of clothes! It's done now, phew!

Hey, everyone!

My first ever post on craftster, yay! I've just read this whole thread and am in awe of some of your organising skills! My whole house is a mess - I have 2 kids aged 6 and 2, a very messy (and somewhat lazy) husband and a crazy big puppy who chews everything, argh! we have a pretty small bungalow with very little storage space and I have no area to craft in Sad
I'm thinking of clearing out my big bedroom cupboard, taking off the sliding doors (which keep breaking anyway) and making that into my workspace. It means I'll have to move my bed and get a new set opf drawers and wardrobes, which may take some time.
i also plan on clearning out 90% of our clothes, and whatever is saveable, I will recon with some inspiration from the clothing boards  Wink
anyhoo, here is what my bedroom looks like now...

Shameful, I know! I can't move at all in my room without having to climb over stuff, and things go missing constantly, it drives me nuts!
