1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Where do you buy your zippers? on: March 12, 2011 10:39:21 PM
Hi everyone!

Just got into bag making, love it! I'm currently working on my first messenger bag and will post it when I'm finished.

I love having lots of zippered compartments in my bags, but have found that zippers, especially the heavy duty ones, are ridiculously expensive (I looooove Costumers brand zippers, but they're not cheap!). I waited until all notions were 50% at my local sewing store to get some for my most recent project, but I would like to find a place online where I can start buying them at a reasonable price. Any suggestions?
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My first quilt top (African Themed, woot!), suggestions please on: December 20, 2010 11:10:19 PM
So I finally semi-finished my first quilt top. I used a variety of African themed fabrics and overall I'm fairly pleased with how it turned out (Lots of mistakes, but the overall effect is nice no?).

However, now I'm stumped on how to continue, I want to add a border so its a bit larger, but I'm not sure what I want to do with it. I need an idea thats reasonably easy to execute that will complement the theme well. Suggestions?

Thanks in Advance!
