2  UNITED STATES / Maryland / Re: where to sell items- local stores or craft shows? on: April 07, 2008 04:23:21 AM

I'm only familiar with Baltimore/DC area shows.  But the Charm City Craft Mafia holds two shows are year, one coming up June 21st: http://www.charmcitycraftmafia.com/wordpress/events/.
And the Washington City Paper holds Crafty Bastards, they just added a summer show, http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/craftybastards/.

You can also check Indie Craft Shows for listings, http://www.indiecraftshows.com/events.php and Craigslist.

As far as shops, again i only know the Baltimore area, but Hampden has lots of little shops. Most are listed here http://www.hampdenmerchants.com/. And there are others in other Baltimore neighborhoods too, try Fells Point.

4  UNITED STATES / Washington, D.C. / DIY@ArtScape, in Baltimore--it's not that far! on: March 13, 2008 04:31:20 AM
Just wanted to let you all know that ArtScape, the largest free public arts festival in the country, in Baltimore, MD, has a new opportunity this year for crafters. For the first time, Artscape will include DIY@Artscape.  This is a really huge event and I know people who have done the 'fashion' section with t-shirts and have done really well. Baltimore's an easy drive from the DC area! The deadline is soon so check it out!
Artscape takes place July 18th, 19th and 20th. You can apply for a table space for the whole 3-day weekend, or for one or two days.  And the price is lower than the fine arts booth fees.

Go to www.artscape.org to visit Artscapes application page, and scroll down to the crafter/DIY@Artscape Call for entry to obtain all the necessary info regarding fees/rules/applications etc.
Online applications are due by MARCH 30!

I really hope it becomes a permanent part of ArtScape so I can buy! Grin
