I actually modified this same bag.  Just cut along the top seam to release the handles and then I cut deeper to make more of a half circle shape. the loops are farther apart too. I think it works better.

I posted this in paper crafts but haven't gotten any responses yet.  Thoguht I'd try over here.
I found some vintage wrapping paper while going through my grandma's things.  The patterns are great and if they were fabric I'd make some fun bags.  But with paper, I'm not sure what to do.
Any ideas?

I've never posted on your folders over here, but you all make some beautiful things.  Recently, I found some vintage wrapping paper while going through my grandma's things and now it's mine.  I love the scenes and want to try to make something from it all.  The only problem is the pattern is large.  Any ideas for what to do with it?  Any kinda easy projecs as I'm new to the world fo paper crafts?  Pics below.  Thank you!!!

So I whipped up this bag last week.  The fabric reminds me of this table cloth my mom used to use in the summer when I was little.   I like how it turned out for the most part.  Except, the handles aren't attached very neatly.  I thought about putting them inside the bag when sewing it up inside out--a la jordy--but the round handles were too big and bulky.  Any ideas out there?

First project post!
I made the Chelsea bag on Saturday.  I was inspired by the fabric I found in the leftovers bin.  It feels very spring-y.




Sorry about the red background--it's a little harsh.

And I made this messenger bag for a friend.  The material is kinda fuzzy.  The lining is a celery green.  The front detail is all hand sewn in felt.



I'm still getting the hang of taking pictures with the digi-cam.
