2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Doctor Who Stitch Along? on: May 07, 2013 12:33:57 PM
I was wondering if any one else had come across this sites http://www.fandominstitches.com/search/label/dwsal Doctor Who stitch along that starts on the 15th. If anyone else was thinking of doing it I thought it would be fun if someone set up a stitch along thread for it.
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Drawing help? on: December 15, 2012 08:18:08 AM
Hi I am not great at drawing anything that is suppose to look good. I do great things with compasses and rulers though. Most likely cus they are just shapes and lines. But I would like to be able to draw a realistic cardinal. Unfortunately I can't draw well. So does anyone know of any websites or books that can help me draw a cardinal?
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Grad gift on: October 24, 2012 05:02:25 AM
My brother graduated college back in may and I had made this hoop for him. Its a charactor from Star Wars who says "It's a trap!" in one of the movies. I then thought of having him saying "It's a grad!" cus I thought it would be funny. Well enough rambling on to the picture I have.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Going to make my first dress on: March 08, 2012 07:35:51 PM
I have a prom coming up in May and it will be my first prom. I have looked a little at JCPennies but I don't care for the length. I then decided that I wanted to make my own but I have never made a dress. So I would like to know what kind of fabric should I use for the dress. It will be flowey not tight and the sleeves are going to be circle sleeves and I want it in black or maybe a grey color I will have my jewelry and stuff for color.
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My Ewok Needs a Spear on: February 16, 2012 05:15:57 AM
About 2 or 3 weeks ago my mom and I were at Goodwill and I found this bear for a doller in very good condition. Well I have wanted my own Ewok for awhile now so I thought why not make him into an Ewok Roll Eyes. So I did some restuffing sugery and added teeth made from felt. Then last night I went through three different prototypes to make his hood. First one was a little small the second one was really wonky and the last one was perfect. Then I was going to use felt but then I saw that I did not have enough Angry so I started looking for something to take the place of the felt and what do I find? Black minky that looks good on him. So now that you don't have to read my ramblings any more here is my Ewok.  Grin (I don't have a name yet so feel free to give me ideas)

7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Just finished it on: February 02, 2012 06:28:44 PM
I got the pattern at a quilt shop this last summer during a shop. I don't really like how the scissors turned out though but oh well.

8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My crayon art and a question on: January 07, 2012 02:00:57 PM
I made this heart cus I wanted to try making melted crayon art. Well last week I got my self a mini-high heat glue gun. I found some old crayons. I used crayola and roseart and some old cheap crayons. Well I was almost done and then I heard a pop and I saw ether a spark or a very little flame from me tripping a circuit breaker. Tongue So I was wondering if I need to not leave it running too long when I have crayon in it or if I need to make sure that the area where the heat area in the glue gun is more clear to keep it coolish. Huh

9  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Some quilt things I did for an Aunt on: December 22, 2011 06:04:48 PM
I gave my Great Aunt this dragonfly embroidered quilted thing I made all myself that sadly I don't have pics for. Sad Well when I gave it to her she told me she had a few embroidered dish towels that she asked if I could make them into a little quilt for some sort of family members for Christmas. Well my mom cut the embroideries from the towels and did the binding on the little dog one the rest was all me. Sewing them together took me about an hour for each and the quilting took me an hour for each. Also these were my 2nd and 3rd quilt in the ditch so I think that came out well. Hope you guys like them.  Grin

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / A stuffed animal bed thats a little big on: December 22, 2011 05:36:40 PM
I finished a couple of small quilt things for my Great Aunt. I needed something that I did not have to be overly careful with so I made a dog bed that I use for stuffed animals. Its a little big and I kinda realized it when I was making it but I did not feel like down sizing the bed thing. The dog looking stuffed animal is a Tasmanian Wolf from Build-a-Bear and the panda is from my parents "adopted" for me. The fabric is red dog themed things like leashes and dog dishes.
