1  First quilt I finished (mostly) by myself!! in Quilting: Completed Projects by skatergirl1007 on: July 27, 2016 02:08:59 PM
So I decided at the beginning of the summer after I got back from school to make my best friend a quilt. Since her and I are both 20/21 I knew I wanted to do something that would work for her to have when she has her own place. So I went with yellow, grey, and pink for the colors. I didn't do all of the quilting, because my dad's quilter doesn't like me (or I need to work on my quilting).

2  More doodles in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by skatergirl1007 on: June 27, 2015 11:40:26 AM
Here are a few more doodles. Again I looked up simple drawings on google to draw from. I think the wolf is my favorite one out of these.

3  Doodle of a fairy in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by skatergirl1007 on: June 22, 2015 06:57:49 PM
I have been practicing drawing more (since I'm not that great at drawing). I looked up simple fairies to draw on google since I can't really draw stuff from my head  Tongue *le sigh* I am actually quite happy with how this came out. The big thing is proportions and then working on drawing legs and arms a bit better. But otherwise I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

I like the little monster book and monster.  Cheesy   I got my package today from TheBrokenButterfly and I must say it is the best one yet. Cheesy   I love my TARDIS bag.

And that is Sir Panda one of my extras. He really likes getting into all the pictures.  Here he is by himself. Smiley

Here is the cute steampunky box she made. She said that she used a hot glue gun to draw everything on the box.

Sir Panda told me to look inside and found chocolates!!

Thank you TheBrokenButterfly I love it all!!

I went on my zombie crawl today. Unfortunately I did not get around to finishing my knitted intestines. But we did all our own make-up and had some fun ripping up our clothes a bit.

First the paper does not come with the hole in the middle. I used a hole punch to do that so I would not have to pin through the paper and contort the paper. Also I do not stitch through the paper. You can but I just stitch the fabric. So the first picture is where I have trimmed the fabric to between 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch around all the sides.

Then you pick which side to start on and fold it over. Now I go counter clock-wise but you could go the other way. So I then turn the hexie to the left and fold the next side down. So that corner will look like it is a metered corner. I then take a few stitches. Oh and you will want to knot your thread here.

Once you get to the end you just take 4 to 5 stitches and I don't knot my thread. Part of the reason is that if I want to take out these stitches I can do it more easily not knotting it.

On Tuesday I went to my local quilt shops Prairie Women club and this months handout was for hexagons. So I have decided that I really like making these and am going to make the quilt that we got the pattern for. I need to make 247 1" hexagons and the finished size will be 27 1/2" x 28 3/4". I don't plan on finishing it all this year just get all the hexagons done and get a couple of rows taken care of.
Here are all the ones I have done so far.

And here are my favorites.
