1  HELP! (weird eyes for a plushie) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by grrl72 on: July 06, 2009 07:27:21 PM
So I'll be going to an anime convention on the 17th. I don't have time to make a costume, so I thought I would make myself a plushie. I think I have it all down.... it's just that the eyes are... swirly for lack of a better word and I'm unsure of how to do it. Here's a pic to give a better idea. It's the rabbit btw.

Kind of creepy, but I think it'll make a cute plushie. The rabbit also has a regular face like any old doll so if it proves too difficult, I suppose I can do that, but I'd really love to be able to do it in the "evil" form. Thank you for any help!

2  Baby gifts (no creative titles for me) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by grrl72 on: April 29, 2009 04:28:20 PM
Long time lurker, first time poster, so please be kind. ^_^
So this outfit is the first thing I've made since 7th grade home ec class, which was 7 long years ago, when I made a stuffed ladybug (which come to think of it, I never got back from the teacher...), so it's been awhile since I've sewn anything.  One of my friends just had a baby and the another is 6 months pregnant, so I decided it'd be fun to try out my sewing machine that I just got from my aunt. Anyway, these are what I made:

The one that just had a baby, had a girl so I made a dress, bloomers, booties, headband, and a bib:

Close up of shoes/fabric:

The one that is 6 month's along just found out it's going to be a boy, so I made a pair of pants, and I'm going to make a matching bib whenever I get around to it. They look a little weird because of how I had them laying when I took the picture. I wish there were more clothes to make for boys...

To give credit for the patterns:
pants: made my own pattern
dress: Rae's Itty Bitty Baby Dress
bloomers: shorter version of pants pattern
booties: Cloth Baby Shoes by Joanna Armour
headband: made my own pattern
bib: Easy Infant sized bib by Chickpea Studio

No action shots yet because the dress was a little big for the baby. I didn't have measurements because it was a surprise. Thanks for looking. Comments and critcisms welcome!
