2  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Valentine's Hat (SNBN) on: August 29, 2005 10:26:08 PM
I think the stuff in the parantheses tells you specifically how you're supposed to increase to reach the final number of stitches. They aren't alternate directions for a different size because there's only one size. See what I mean?

So the  "(inc1, inc1, k1) two times" means do the parantheses TWICE before following the next set of directions.

And the whole flip-flop directions? I think the part about rows is flat directions for parts of the mittens.
3  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Re: Gadriel from Constantine on: August 11, 2005 10:17:51 PM
I don't have a screen shot of the pants or anything...

but the pants are actually TWO pairs if you look at a back view. The top pair is more like cowboy chaps, with the back of the knee cut out and the calf laced up. The underneath pair are probably leggings or something like that, just so the pants don't look too bulky....

The top shirt is more like a sleeveless shrug, and the other cut more like a sleeveless tee that a wifebeater. The straps are really wide..

That's all I've noticed in the two times I've watched Constantine. Best of luck with that whole sewing thing. Waaaaaaay too intimidating for me.
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Rejection? Nah. on: May 16, 2005 04:39:43 PM
Ok, I've been reading through the S'n'B Crochet thread, and it sounds like people have a ton of great ideas for patterns. Why wait to share them? Every one is always looking for new unique patterns, and those who make them are looking for a little recognition as well.

Please post your ideas and/or patterns that have been "rejected", complete with a story of how it was created (if applicable)
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: The Hipslinger (aka The Fanny Pack) on: April 08, 2005 09:28:07 PM
I myself am not a big fan of the fanny pack......

But that is one damn sexy fanny pack. How'd you make it? I want one. I think quilted brocade would be amazing...with a ribbon tie.
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Vintage Craft Projects / Re: I Love the 80s on: April 03, 2005 09:25:07 PM
Yeah, I know them! They're from my hometown, doncha know. I'm on good terms with Nick, whenever I get to see him....they're doing the whole rockstar thing now, so I don't get to see him. It makes me sad.

My sis went to HS with them. Nick was so cute as a junior...

True that, they are mussels!

Oysters are pretty much sharp-edged blobs...not even pretty blobs at that.
