22  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / I have conquered the Green Yarn on: March 04, 2012 04:27:08 PM
Ok I bought a butterfly loom on clearance and wanted to try something new.

So I started with using up Green varigated yarn I bought 6 years ago to make a blanket for my husband. I was no good at guessing how much the yarn i would need and ended making a ripple blanket for him a matching one for my daughter, Baby hat, Baby blanket, baby sweater, adult slippers and adult sweater for my mom and I still have 3 large skeins. Since the yarn was sitting in my stash moking me. I started making squares with it. I was happy I was down to 1 skien then while cleaning up some projects that I had in project bags I found that another skein of that cursed green yarn. So now I have 2 skiens left to work up. Told you it just taunts me. Well I wouldnt let it win. I finished it.  It is a sampler I tried out 5 squares so there are five rows of 5 squares. Nice and warm.

My husband who taunted me along with the cursed Green yarn Posed with my daughter for me.

Thanks for looking.
23  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Blanket for my girlie on: February 16, 2012 09:07:03 PM
So I had and abundance of Caron Simply Soft yarn and so I descided to make a blanket for my baby girl. Started making it for her when she was 2 then like other crafts got bored and finished it last summer and she found it on the bottom of the blanket box and so I thought I would take some pics and share. It is soft and thick worked with 2 strands of yarn and a X stitch. It also has color coordinating tassels on the sides.

So I made a sweater for my dog since we have to shave her occasionally and then she shivers for a week or so. I made her a sweater that was too big following a pattern then frogged it and made her another one. She loves it and dances around when I get it out for her to wear it.
