Thank you so much for this wonderful free pattern and tutorial which I got at Made by Rae Buttercup Bag The outter fabric I bought, and the black fabric used to be a pleated skirt which I bought at the Op Shop for $2 hehe.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Corset and Skirt (4 biggish pics) (Added new pic) on: March 25, 2009 05:16:55 PM
So I am getting married in 2 months time, and my hens night is coming up shortly. We are dressing up for it, and I've always had my heart set on making a corset and skirt so this was the perfect time to try it. I've never actually sewed any clothing other than a simple no form dress in highschool (a good 11 years ago) We are going to a place called dracula's theater in Melbourne, Australia.

Its taken me about 3 weeks to get both corset and skirt finished. Skirt took about 3 days to do mainly working at night into the early hours of the morn, and the corset was a little longer due to running out of thread and injuring myself with some pins hehe.  The corset is fully boned, and I have used 4 layers of material in it to keep is sturdy as you can see from the size, im not a small girl Wink

I guess on with the show Smiley

Edit: I've added a sitting down shot, as all the ones my partner took standing up looking even stupider than this one heh
