1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Thrift store picture revamp -before & after on: June 08, 2005 11:25:35 AM
My partner is out of town, so I thought I'd show off what I made her!

http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/1962000_0090.JPG

I darkened the whole picture and added the monsters, and painted the frame.  I'm quite pleased!!

I just got back and what a welcome present to find this waiting for me! It is so cute, my son is begging to have it hung in his room. Thanks for such a great job -- I should have yours done this weekend and will get in the mail as soon as it dries ;-).

2  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Baby/Toddler Hat Swap Sign up before Feb 18th!!! on: May 30, 2005 08:02:38 PM
Finally, here are some pics  -- my apologies for the picture quality.

This is what I received from littleone. The yellow one has the very detailed pleats and a button clasp, it is quite beautiful. The white one is fleece, I love the funky shape.

And here is what I sent. The red one is  fleece and the other is cord and jean-like material.

I had a heck of a time with the pattern I was using for the summer one. If anyone has a reliable pattern that they would reccommend I'd love to know the brand and number.

Opps -- I spaced the deadline and thought it was this Friday, the 29th. I'll definitely be done this week and put them in the mail by the weekend.

Should we just post pics here or will there be a gallery somewhere? I want to post pics of the beautiful ones that LittleOne sent me!

Is it OK to send something done on a canvas but not framed? Or should we aim for something framed?  I went out today and saw several cute canvas paintings but nothing inside a frame that I was happy with.
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Let Me Make Your Craft II Pictures on: April 04, 2005 08:16:05 PM
Since I would love to see more pictures of everyone's craftiness (!), I thought I would post some pics of what I sent to ReesaRe. This is what she sent me ...

This is a pic of everything I sent back ...

Since the point of this swap was to get yourself out of your crafterly element, producing these items that are posted below were completely new to me. I had never worked with styrofoam balls, nor had I ever decoupaged anything. I was also not entirely sure what I would do with the flowers. I am so glad to have now had a chance to do both. I got such great raw materials to work with and was able to keep using up materials of mine that have been sitting around forever.  I have never been so productive in such a short a period of time. Thanks xMelinda for coordinating this swap -- I got alot out of it.

i got two pouches so far.  the coolest blue flowered one with skull (!) ribbon stitched on and one yesterday from pellzin.  hers is so cool cos it's not a rectangle!  nope, it's this little rounded pouch with furry lining.  the colors are kinda sherberty and i love them both!  thanks guys!  go ahead and post pics of your work if ya can!

Here is a pic of the ones I sent. It's a cord fabric and on two of them I quilted the cord (with batting and everything). There is a different color cord fabric on the back of each. The white up top is fuzzy white that carries over into the lining. I need to master my sitching around the zipper, but otherwise I had alot of fun. Once I get all mine, I'll post pics of them.

I'm interested in signing up, just a question ...

Jessicakes -- are we sending you our dimensions so you can pair us up with someone who has relatively same size work (so we won't have to hassle with sening $$)? I thought that was a good suggestion, but haven't seen any response as to whether or not it would happen that way.
