I can see some fantastic applications for this technique, particularly with brooches and beads. Going to give this a try and will post results. Thanks for posting this info and the video link.

I've been wondering what to use a couple of nice FQ's of Michael Miller fabric for, and now I have the perfect project. Love the matching set and I agree with the other poster: you're stitching is so straight and neat. Thanks for sharing these.
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: embroidered True blue quilt on: February 20, 2009 08:09:49 PM
I really like the combination of quilting with embroidery, yours is looking charming. Is this an ongoing project or something you've finished and how did you source your material? Left overs from other projects or purpose bought for the quilt? The selection of blues is very pretty. Bluebells and cornflowers could look good too.

That's so sweet. Love the pattern. The little yoyo is adorable. I'm going yoyo crazy at the moment, just learned to make them. They are really versatile.

I have to agree with the other comments - GOOORGEOUS!. You're attention to detail and creativity have created a real one-of-a-kind. I can also see this with a matching skirt, the veil, and hand beaded shoes, as the sort of outfit only celebrity brides get to wear. You rock!

Gorgeous. Love how textured this is, how visually interesting, but at the same time, completely wearable. Great selection of fabrics and details. You're so talented.
