The ribbon on the collar is just the right amount of fun without taking away from the whole look.  Gotta love a blue sailor suit for a little guy.

Wow!  That's really beautiful!  I'd love to make one for myself, but my toddler would be picking at that to no end!  I think the combination of the colors and types/sizes of buttons you chose, plus the pattern you sewed them on is really stunning.
