1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Little Visitor Swap Round 12-Summer Fun Gallery! on: September 12, 2010 11:11:39 AM
And I have posted the photos I took from Tom and Mel's trip across Canada in a set on my Flickr account.  Blogger is too slow to add all of these photos.  Unfortunately, they are not 100% in chronological order because I use three cameras and two computers.  This method comes highly unrecommended.  Here is the link:

Mr. Garden Gnome has made it safely back to Canada, and he has decided to live outside like a real garden gnome with the camping kit that Koalascout made for him in Georgia.  Check out how cute it is:

And here are the souvenirs he brought back from his summer vacation:

He brought back some Red Diamond tea, which is popular in the South.  (It makes really good iced tea!)  There is a thimble from Illinois, a KFC pin, some postcards, a scrapbook, extra pics and a disc of pics, an Ohio keychain, a Christmas ornament (Which is funny, because I sent a Christmas ornament back with Tom and Mel) and a glass from Florida, which isn't pictured because it is currently in the dishwasher.  There is also a clamshell and a postcard from the Restaurant Marietta Fish Market, and two mini water guns.  Thanks for swapping Koalascout, it was a lot of fun  Smiley

I'm hoping to be approved for a one day late send off so that we can get some mountain climbing pictures from this weekend, but if not, Tom and Mel will be heading back to Georgia on Monday!

We have been working on the package to send back to Georgia.  There might be some interesting last minute photos added this upcoming weekend because we are going atv-ing to the second highest point in NB.  This all depends on the weather, so I hope it co-operates with our trip!
When I know the package has been received, I plan on putting up all of the photos from their trip on their blog or my flickr account.

Just checking in Smiley  We have started working on the package to send back to Georgia, and have been enjoying the perfect summer weather here this week.

Tom and Mel are heading to Prince Edward Island again for the weekend!  It is a long weekend here for New Brunswick Day, so the beaches should be packed, and that is where we are heading Smiley

My blog has still not been updated, but it doesn't mean we haven't been out doing things!  In fact, we are headed out to PEI tomorrow - squee!  I will probably be away for a week, so Tom and Mel won't be updating the blog for a little while yet.

I updated Mel and Tom's gallery with a picture, and I hope to put up a blog post some time tonight.  We went to a powwow yesterday which was pretty cool!

Okay, we are back!  The move went pretty smooth, except for driving through Montreal which requires nerves of steel.  We didn't end up going into Quebec City because our car was full of our most expensive and beloved "stuff" and we felt nervous leaving it alone.  I am really disappointed about that, but we did stay at a gorgeous b&b in Levi, Quebec, which had an amazing breakfast.  And we could see Old Quebec City right across the river! Driving through the province of Quebec was great - it is so pretty!  Mel and Tom were able to experience great views of the St. Lawrence River, bright yellow fields of canola, and mountain upon mountain of mountains!
I didn't get to take as many pictures as I wanted because we were on a mission to get across the country.  And the highway across NB that we took didn't have anything on it but rocks and trees.  Seriously.  Only rocks and trees, no houses, no telephone poles, nothing.  It was creepy.
Mel and Tom have been to Bathurst, N.B., Miramichi, N.B., and Shediac, N.B. so far, and there is lots more to see!
I will be uploading pictures soon to the blog - our camera cord has decided to play a game of hide and seek in the moving boxes. Some day I want to learn how to mobile blog from my blackberry.
I'll let everyone know when I update Mel and Tom's blog Smiley

Hello all!  I am moving tomorrow morning from Ontario to New Brunswick, so I might be absent from Craftster for one to two weeks.  Mel and Tom are coming with us, of course, on what should be an interesting 18 hour road trip!  We plan on staying in Quebec City tomorrow night, one of my favourite cities Smiley  Hopefully we will be back soon to let everyone know how it went!  Mel and Tom's blog will be on a break while we are gone as well.  Cheers!
