1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Anyone have an open sweater pattern? on: December 07, 2009 10:29:20 AM
I'd love to make my own open sweater. I think that's what they're called. The kinda flowy, thin material. They are really popular now, I see them in all kinds of stores. I want to make my own, but can't find a tutorial or pattern anywhere! Anyone know of any?

Something sorta like this:
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Victoria and Alice from Twilight on: November 06, 2009 03:01:54 PM

I had red contacts and she had amber colored ones in and we were both sparkly but only close up
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / ugly dress to Alice dress on: November 06, 2009 02:36:27 PM

My friend wanted to be Alice from Twilight for Halloween but couldn't afford the $500 dress from the movie. So she asked me to recreate one for her. I took it in and shortened it, put in a side zipper, shoulder straps and belt loops for the ribbon. Turned out to be a lot more difficult than it looks. The fabric kept fraying and pulling out. But she LOVES it and thats all that matters!

Yeah, I went as Victoria
4  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Crunch Salad on: June 24, 2009 11:37:18 AM
1 pkg. cole slaw mix
2 pkgs. Ramen noodles
1 c. sunflower seeds
1 c. slivered almonds
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 bunch fresh broccoli, chopped

1 c. oil of choice
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. white vinegar
2 pkgs. seasoning from Ramen noodle soup (beef flavor)

Prepare dressing the night before or a few hours before preparing the salad.
Break up Ramen noodles into small pieces (I just hit mine with a meat mallet before opening the package). Add together all salad ingredients. As close as possible to serving time add dressing.
Note: All my friends LOVE this recipe, even the one who doesn't eat vegetables. I'm requested to bring it to every party
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Ink bleeding in resin? on: March 26, 2009 11:27:23 AM
If I print out an image from the computer and embed it in resin will the ink part bleed? I'd like to use this method because it is an intricate design so I need the white paper to become transparent, but not if the ink is gonna bleed or fade or anything.  Undecided
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Which Shrinky Dinks is better? on: March 13, 2009 07:21:42 AM
Is the Ruff and Ready kind better or the Crystal Clear kind? What are the differences? And what should I use to coat/finish them off with (so they won't degrade or color won't come off)?
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / I messed up... on: February 19, 2009 01:42:20 PM
So, I was trying to make a circle skirt, easy right?  Well, I must have gotten my calculations messed up. My waist hole is too big by about 2 inches. Is there any way I can fix it and make it smaller?
