My custodian saves big pieces of cardboard for me to use in my Christmas concert decorations. I had a Really Really BIG flat box I had to use somewhere. I decided on trees.

first draw and cut out tree shape from cardboard

Then attach to basketball goal with pipe cleaners and packing tape

Then drape lots of lovely Gossamer on it

Start with Big Ol' Balls

Lots of Papier Mache and Duck Tape

Aluminum Foil and paper towels for facial features
The GOOD spray glue and lots of fake snow and glitter

Paint (STOP! if I was going to do this again I would paint before spray gluing the fake snow...live and learn)

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Lots and Lots of Dots - MEGA SIZED! on: May 15, 2014 07:14:08 AM
I have previously posted Lots and Lots of Dots eggs http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=432596.0#axzz31nFI4Jl5 in the regular plastic egg size. After Easter I hit up the Hobby Lobby for a GINORMOUS EGG (at 80% off because I'm cheap). I used bigger dots and lots of glue. The process is all the same. I may Modge Podge this one to help protect it since it is so HUGE!

I used an Xcto knife to cut the canvas and painted it silver. The original was black, but I liked this color.  Smiley
