1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / iPod Cozy on: May 14, 2009 02:08:48 PM
I've been meaning to make myself a iPod cozy for my iPod Touch.
I made it out of hot pink and lime green felt, handsewn. I had so much trouble getting that strap even, and then I found out its a bit uneven to the button. Oh well.

Here are the pictures!

Sadly,my iPod won't fit inside of it unless I take off the protective rubber case. Sad

Do you like them?
I was thinking about selling them, but I'll make them a tad bit bigger.
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Pandas! on: March 01, 2009 09:44:05 AM
I just finished hand sewing my second panda softie.
It was way harder then I thought. I messed up quite a bit,and did a lot of seam ripping and trimming.
But,without further ado..Here it is!
(Excuse my blurry pictures. I had to take them with a phone.)

You can't really see it in the pictures, but it has big brown buttons for eyes.
I made the pattern myself. It is entirely hand sewn,no liquid stitch or sewing machine!

And here is my second panda. This one didn't come out as well, but I love it anyways.
Its also hand sewn.

It's very simple. Just a little nose and eye patches.
Both are made with felt.
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / What are you currently working on? on: February 25, 2009 07:16:55 PM
I thought it would be fun to share what projects were all working on. Smiley
I'm currently working on a stuffed panda head keychain, little cat heads, and a vintage-inspired panda softie.

What are you working on?
4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Walmart selling sewing machines. on: February 24, 2009 01:53:32 PM
Me and my mom checked Walmart's tiny craft section, and to our amazement, our Walmart is carrying sewing machines by Brother and Singer.
They had a Singer serger for around $170,and two Brother's for $75 and $99.
They are also carrying plenty of sewing notions,so I'd check your local walmart. I got two spools of white thread that has 1,000 yards on it for a dollar.
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My First Stuffie!!! on: February 22, 2009 01:21:32 PM
I finished my first stuffed animal today.
Made with my own pattern, and some old linen pale pink curtains from the attic.
With some help from my grandma and my mom, here is Pinkie, the Vintage Bunny!

I hand sewed on buttons for eyes, and I made her on a Singer sewing machine!

**NEW PIC**
Here is a updated picture of Pinkie!
My mom sewed her ear down, and drew a face on her with a sharpie.
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Beginner hand-sewn patterns? on: February 19, 2009 12:36:47 PM
I need a easy, beginners softie hand sewn pattern.
We got that "Learn to Sew" 6" teddy bear kit,but it's junk. Tongue
So,my mom is going to get me some scraps to make something out of--it has to be hand sewn.
Does anyone know a easy beginners pattern?
Thank you!
7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Nail Polish?? on: February 18, 2009 02:44:09 PM
(sorry if this doesn't belong here,I just joined.)

Hi,I have some questions about nail polish.
I just bought lime green and a sparkly pink today, and I wanted to do some neat designs.
How on earth do you put designs on your nails??
I've been trying all day,and I've had little success.
Any help?
Thanks!
