1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Who? Hat--First Cable Experience on: December 31, 2009 10:20:36 AM
I love owls!  That hat is adorable.  Okay, so you say you're a new knitter. . . I am as well, and have never done anything in the round.  I've done a couple hats but mostly scarves and headbands so far.  But if you say it's easier than it looks, maybe I'll just give it a whirl!

Where can I find shealoe butter and the salt?  I'm totally new to bath products - I'm a fiber girl, but golly this looks awesome!

Anybody up for meeting at Waldo's Coffee in the Heights for some knitting/crocheting on Sunday night?

I'm pretty new to knitting and would LOVE someone to tell me what in the world I might be doing wrong. . . Plus, my 400 square foot apartment is shrinking while I work.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Vogue Knitting at the library? - Yes, way. on: June 16, 2009 01:47:47 PM
NEver noticed Knitting books before, but then again, wouldn't have looked for them until a few months ago when I finally put down my hook to try sticks.

Of course, I've found tons of movies at the library and get to check them out for free rather than pay money to Blockbuster. . . Three cheers for public libraries!

There's a Bella hat and Bella mittens at Ravelry.  I made a bunch of them for my youth girls.  Not sure if their moms liked me pushing "perfect man/bloodsucker/crazy in love teenagers" thing, but the stuff was really cute!
