1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / how to make a neckline? on: July 28, 2009 03:59:15 PM
So, I decided to make a sweater. Or maybe a vest... it depends if I feel up to sleeves. So I grabbed some yarn and the nearest needles, cast on an unknown number of stitches, and worked until it seemed like I was about ready to start making the neck. (I'm doing front and back seperatly, and working on the back right now). So now I want to try making the neckline for the back, a gentle curve, I was thinking... and I don't know what the hell to do. I've never knit anything before except a hat and slippers, and some squares. and millions of pieces that never became anything. help? help?
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / interfacing substitute? help!! emergency!! on: April 06, 2009 07:39:37 AM
ok, so I have a little project that is supposed to be done by tomorrow before 9:30 am. it's a really straightforward project that i'm not very interested in, i'm essentially making a couple of purse-like objects (but less durable). anyhow, I knew that it wouldn't take me very long to complete, and since I am not very interested in it, I have been procrastinating until today, when I realised that I forgot to buy interfacing and I can't go to the store because I live in the country, and my boyfreind is at work with the car. Does anyone know of a good substitute for interfacing? thanks!!!
