1  Re: Star Baby Blanket~Along in Crochetalongs by AbbiBaker on: July 08, 2009 10:16:27 PM
Yey! Finally done! It's been months =[
I'd say about 3 off and on and for such a small blanket.  I want to do another now though, I'm hooked.

Next to my camera case in the first and my dog is in the 2nd in the corner.  I used Cottentots and it was like the best decision ever, it's so so soft.  Used about 5 skeins I'd say (I have a half left of the yellow and half of the green).

3  Flapper Style Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by AbbiBaker on: March 05, 2009 11:56:55 PM
So i got to go yarn shopping today =]
It was a good time.  I've wanted to make a hat.
This is my 3rd ever crochet project! And first non- amigurumi.

Without the flower:

Close up of flower (and cute button I got to buy today!):

Done with an I hook and Patons Canadiana (so soft!)

Also Work in progress of my 2nd project ever:
Monkey from Creepy cute crochet

He's a little fat so his jacket didn't fit nicely =[
I need to learn to be more consistent in my stitch sizes.  In due time, I say.

Done in Vanna's Choice with an E
=D

4  My first ever crochet project =] in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by AbbiBaker on: February 28, 2009 09:34:45 AM
So last monday I taught myself how to crochet using nexstitch... it took about an hour to get the basics down.
I understood some concepts because I learned to knit when i was 9 (i'm 18 now).  I've known about craftster for a while but pretty much just started crafting again recently (I went through some stressful stuff and I kinda lost myself and forgot what I loved so much about crafting).
So I figured I'd join because the community here is so great, and I can't get enough!

The pattern is from creepy cute crochet and the finished piece stands at just under 4 inches high.
I was originally making it for my sister to give to a friend for her bday but i was a little too late (I started it the night before)

I ran into a lot of problems in the process of creating this (my bad for picking an intermediate ami for my first project) but I'm happy with the result.

(I can't figure out how to sew the head on though... so it's currently just resting on the body)

His current state of decapitation =[ :

EDIT- I used Vanna's Choice and an E hook (B for the detailing)
