1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: eReader/Tablet Case Swap GALLERY! on: April 30, 2011 08:14:14 AM
I received my box from aethelberga!!!

I got a wonderful case with a useful pocket, a placemat for my tea pot (it's already in use!) and a journal with an blackwork cover.

See the cool flowers?

My Kobo has a wonderful new home. Thanks again aethelberga!
(sorry about the dark pic)

Sad to see that. But i got a Kobo, they are junk. So i got a nook. I love too read. So get your self a nook. They are worth the money.

What features of the Nook do you prefer over the Kobo? Do you mean the colour Nook, or the e-ink one?

I had the Kobo for about a year, starting just after it was released. It had some kinks in firmware that were resolved in the first few months. I always had great service from the staff at the Chapters store. I don't think the Nook is for sale in Canada, and it would be a hassle to import one, but if the quality of the deice is worth it, then I'll think about it.

I broke my e-reader on the first day of my trip to Paris!!! I imagined myself reading in a cafe while having some wine, or reading on a pick nick in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, but no, the damn screen cracked!!!

oh well, it turns out that there are many thing to do here that don't involve reading.

I'm going to get a replacement, but I'm not sure what brand I want. Anyone have any suggestions? I want an affordable option with an e-ink screen, but note taking capabilities and a dictionary are not necessary. I loved my Kobo, but the Sony 300 sounds good, too.
